Actuators for Instrumentation Clusters
Most of today's instrument clusters are using a mix of analog and digital gauges. As a replacement of traditional analog cross-coil gauges, SONCEBOZ has developed a series of miniature stepper motors, well suited for efficient high volume production.
Beside the advantage of size and weight, this motor can be digitally driven by the output signal of a microprocessor preserving the smooth motion characteristics and contributing to overall system cost reduction.
Due to the nature of these products the minimum order size is 10,000 units.
SONCEBOZ products are successfully used by leading manufacturers such as:
- Alfa Romeo
- BMW
- Daimler Chrysler
- FIAT
- Lancia
- Rover
- Volvo

The passenger compatment of modern cars contains a wide variety of electronic systems, including many positioning motors. For instance, highly compact actuators move and position the ventilation flaps of air-conditioning systems. The robust and modular design of SONCEBOZ products, some with integrated electronics, allows ideal adjustment to specific requirements such as torque, speed or space constraints. Part No. |

For car instrumentation, traditional precision technology in conjunction with innovation has led to the development of a micro-stepping motor. With its ultra-flat design, this micro-motor has almost completely replaced traditional cross-coil drives. This drive weighs just a few grams and can be very easily inserted into the production process. It is microprocessor controlled, therefore achieving substantial systems cost reductions. Part No. |
