A new actuator aimed at the mobile hydraulic market has been launched for direct actuation of the main spool in hydraulic valves.

Stepping motor based linear actuator for hydraulic valves, type: 8366 as used on mobile hydrulic applications

The actuator is hysteresis-free, has high stiffness, high resolution and on-board electronics with CAN Bus integrated.
 
The target market for this new innovative product is mobile hydraulics. Applications are found on: tractors and tractor accessories; construction and earth moving equipment; fork lift trucks and transport equipment; and forestry machinery.
 
Use of the SB8366 linear actuator results in the removal of the pilot valve, the two associated solonoids and much of the cables and hoses simplifying and streamlining the vehicle design.

The actuator provides high forces AND long travels and it's negligible hysteresis ensures a smooth performance with a high degree of control hitherto unavailable in the mobile hydraulics field.
