Reliance Rack Actuators

The Reliance rack actuator or 'Racktuator' as it is known is a series of actuators which comprise a number of solid racks and also a number of tubular rack designs which can enable fluids, tubes or wires to be passed through the assembly, reducing the risk of entanglement, and keeping the system tidy.
 
The Reliance Racktuator is a compact, lightweight design which makes the actuator ideal for medical or scientific such as:
 
    * Sampling machines
    * Pick and place machines
    * Dispensing machines
    * Specimen analysis
    * Reagent testing
 
The version of the Racktuator which is fitted with the Reliance Cool Muscle servo motion control package (see the picture on the left which includes the NEMA size 17 'Cool Muscle' motor) combines an
 
    * Intelligent vector driver with a 32 bit RISC CPU,
    * H-infinity tuner,
    * A 50,000 count magnetic encoder,
    * 0-3000 rpm high torque motor
    * Power management
 
Into one intelligent motion control system, which allows a multitude of functions from just one motor.
 
For 'economy' applications the Racktuator is fitted with a 'standard' stepping motor without the intelligent drive (see the picture on the right).
