Single Phase Induction Motors
The CW range of single phase induction motors have a modular design which incorporates interchangeable parts and which makes it an ideal base for the CWC range of special application and customer specified motors, incorporating special physical and electrical designs. Standard enclosure protection rating for the CW motor series is IP 44.
Terminal boxes offer four lead entry points. Two cable clamps plus two conduit entries.

Split Phase |
A 'Split Phase' motor is a single phase motor having a running and a starting winding displaced by 90 electrical degrees. This gives a relatively low locked rotor torque and high locked rotor current. The starting winding is cut out by a centrifugal switch at the appropriate speed. |

Capacitor Start Capacitor Run (CSCR)
'Capacitor Start Capacitor Run' (CSCR) motors are similar to a split phase motor but with a starting winding having a capacitor connected in series with it. It gives a higher locked rotor torque for less current than a split phase motor. |
